Shunyata: The Open Dimension of Our Being
Shunyata - is translated as the open dimension of our being.
“It means emptiness
It refers to our capacity to do something we were inherently born to do, but we consistently forget is our birthright:
Relaxing
letting go”
-Pema Chodron-
Shunyata is a basic practice of traveling to our inner spaciousness…. our ground of being within. When we feel like there's a lot of room inside, we don't feel so cluttered or constricted in the midst of chaos.
It's both a practice and a regular orientation of clearing the cobwebs, sweeping the garden, spreading out luxuriously past the bones and the brooding, the cells and the suffering, no walls, no wondering….
Just empty.
We touch the inner body with the seed of basic space- through that remembering we can stay connected, grounded, rooted, stabilized within.
Even when all around us the winds of turbulence and uncertainty grasp and challenge to threaten our balance.
This is the work.
Through the month of April as we can warm up again to our embodiment practices — the open sky space is our motivation for attuning to inner world wisdom, the body breathing itself from within.
It's also a way to model for others the potential this human form has to experience the unseen dimensions, the boundlessness of our being.
Unobstructed.
Our basic buddha nature untouchable, unshakable, expansive.
We practice so we can remind others, be a touchstone for others, to remember their Buddha seed, their spacious nature.
