Fascia is the bio-intelligent structure that holds us together. It can be thought of as the 'organ of organization' as it keeps our bones upright, holds our organs in place, and supports the pathway of the nerves.
On an energetic level it is the medium in which the meridian system is inlaid, thereby the vehicle for the migration of Qi through the subtle body.
In this course we map out the anatomical layers of fascia, and practice different techniques to release the connective tissue. Sessions are devoted to asana and fluid movement patterns that enhance the flow of prana through the fascial planes.
We'll work in pairs to support the release of tension patterns in the connective tissue by breaking down specific yin, yang, and restorative yoga postures and up leveling our adjustment and enhancement skills through lifting, stretching, compressing or spiraling the fascia.

yin & yang yoga | release work for the connective tissue
hands on adjustment & enhancement instruction
buddhist methods of mindfulness
anatomy & physiology
“It has been recognized for a long time that the membranes that form the envelopes of the brain, of nerves, of vessels of all kinds, of glands, of viscera, of muscles and their fibers, and even the skin of the body, are in general, the productions of connective tissue… connective tissue is the general matrix of all organization and that without this tissue no living body would be able to exist nor could have been formed. So, imagine a silver-white material, flexible and sturdy in equal measure- a substance that surrounds and penetrates every muscles, coats every bone, covers every organ, and evelops every nerve. Fascia keeps everything separate yet interconnected at the same time. It is a tissue that, up until recently, was thought to be intert and lifeless. Welcome to the fascia, and the fascial web.”

The StarHouse is a beautiful sanctuary nestled in the foothills of Boulder, Colorado, serving and being served by the community for over 30 years.
Constructed according to ancient geometric principles of ideal symmetry, proportion and harmony ~ in relationship with the land and celestial beings ~ the building itself is a star map. Its axis is aligned with the North Star and it is perfectly oriented to the four directions.
The StarHouse embodies in its structure the changing seasons, fluctuations in sunlight, and dance of the planets and constellations ~ a powerfully supportive space that honors and celebrates the cosmic rhythms of change while nurturing deeper connections between the land, stars and human hearts.
